2008 Maryland Fundraiser

$17,000 raised in the 2nd annual Maryland fundraiser. Congratulations to Kathleen Abrams for winning the raffle for the 20-inch iMac.

A benefit dinner and silent auction was held last Sept. 21, 2008 at Kahler Hall in Columbia, Maryland. About 150 guests came for the Filipino food buffet dinner, silent auction and computer raffle to benefit the educational, healthcare and micro-credit programs of Tapulanga Foundation.

The guest speaker for the evening was Mrs. Micmic Abello Golez (Executive Director of Tapulanga Foundation and Administrator of St. Francis of Assisi School). She shared the history and current programs of the foundation and shared some personal stories of the students, teachers and families she works with. Below is a short clip of her talk.

We also showed a video presentation at the event.
